Born from the fig tree of El Salvador
The Love Yourself Tree began with the amate — a great fiddle-leaf fig (not a fruit tree, but a tree of shade and gathering) under which Salvadoran towns have met for generations. Diego Brito has painted it many times over, and no two trees are alike, because no two lives are alike.
"The roots hold your past. The canopy reaches for your future. The horizon between them is where you live — the present."
That is why every commission carries a personal horizon: the volcano you grew up facing, the skyline you built your life in, the coast you dream of returning to.
